Hong Kong's Panda Milestones
An An became the longest-living male giant panda under human care at the age of 31, passing away at 35, while Jia Jia once held the record for the oldest giant panda under human care, living to 38. In a further achievement, Ying Ying made history by giving birth to twins on August 15, 2024, just before her 19th birthday, becoming the oldest panda mother to give birth for the first time.
Ocean Park will continue to build a vibrant community for giant pandas, sharing their unique charm and actively promoting panda conservation. Through a variety of exciting panda-themed experiences, such as "Panda Convenience Paper" and "Wowo Head Workshop," along with a series of educational courses and engaging online content, Ocean Park aims to inspire deeper understanding of this precious species among the public.
