Our Secret Garden Art Exhibition
“What does an unpolluted and undamaged tree and nature look like in your mind?”
Our relationship with nature is inseparable, yet human actions often leave various degrees of pollution and damage. This exhibition aims to feature 45 participants with diverse abilities and backgrounds (SEN students, people with disabilities, mental health patients, individuals with Down syndrome, those with intellectual disabilities, and caregivers) as the artists. Through a truly inclusive approach, they will conduct a series of explorations and observations in the Sham Shui Po district, creating imaginative visions of nature before human intervention, constructing an artful "secret garden" free from the constraints of reality and imagination.
The theme of the exhibition emphasizes the potential for harmony between people, trees, and nature. It encourages participants and the public to reflect on sustainable living and environmental issues. Everyone is welcome to explore the unknowns brought by imagination and artistic creation in this "secret garden," fostering the inner child's imagination, appreciation, and interactive participation, and engaging in a deeper dialogue with themselves, trees, and nature.
Featured Exhibition Areas:
- Tree Adoption Program: The exhibition will showcase 45 unique tree artworks. Visitors can scan the QR code next to their favorite tree to "adopt" it and leave a message for the artist. After the exhibition, they will receive a postcard featuring the adopted tree artwork. Each tree has a limited adoption quota of five, distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Ideal Nature Animation Zone: An animation composed of paintings created by the artist, accompanied by their voiceover. Visitors can enjoy a synchronized audio-visual experience in the dark room exhibition area.
- Transfer Upgrade Interactive Area: Visitors can search for dry leaves and flowers in a sandpit and use the provided paint to create unique transfer bookmarks. They can then wrap the transferred leaves and flowers in "goldfish bags" to display within the exhibition.
